Ten tips from Ralph, how to keep your PC safe from viral and spyware infections!

  1. Use an Anti-virus and UPDATE the pattern regularly.
  2. Use an email antivirus service.
  3. Do not install P2P programs.
  4. Do not install “free” stuff like screensavers, cool weather tools and etc.
  5. Do not visit un-trusted sites.
  6. Do not double-click email attachments with the following attachments - exe, .bat, .com, .shs, .vbs or .scr .pif and sometimes .jse and .vbe
  7. Frequently run the following programs..

8. When Browsing the Internet, use web browsers other than Internet Explorer.

9. Windows Updates - Set your computer to automatically download and install Windows Updates. 

10. Educate yourself on the subject of viruses and spyware.
