i just got my eeepc 701 4g surf version. it has a 512 mb RAM. is it possible to replace this with 1 GB RAM? does it have any improvement? please advise…I am a new user.
@ euge : Yes you can upgrade to 1GB RAM but since there’s only one RAM slot, you have to take out the 512MB module and replace it with the 1GB module.

Check the warranty sticker at the bottom of your machine. I was informed that it stated something about warranty being void if you upgrade the ram (???)
Anyway, ask around.
You can remove that sticker safely, at least in the US:
