Why doesn’t antivirus and antispyware stop malware?

– They are dependent on signatures
– Malware directly attacks it

  1. Its alot like closing the barn door after the thieves have stolen the horse. But its better than not having any protection at all. The AntiMalware programs do have updates so that the fixes are applied as soon as they have them.
    Ive had customers tell me, what are the odds I’ll run into the latest malware out there before I get my update that protects against it.
    I tell them, as in Russian Roulette, its a game of chance.
