Faster Shutdowns? Use Run dialog

Want a faster Windows shutdown without installing any softwares? Then Lifehacker reader, Eric suggest you use the run dialog. It will immediately forces any open applications to close without warning prior to Windows shutting down.

According to Jim Eshelman, “Unfortunately — especially on Windows XP — this option only shuts down Windows. It does not shut down your computer, at least on most hardware. ”

Jim sugested using Shutdown.exe instead.
