Intel’s latest CPU

core-i7-testy-u-164550-3 Intel’s Core i7 CPU “Nehalem”

The successor to Core 2 processor, Core i7, according to Tom’s Hardware is ” 16% faster clock-for-clock than the Core 2!”  Core 2 is using only 775 pins hence the socket is aptly named socket 775. Core i7 pin connections is 1366!

The CPU core speed is 2.93 GHz and 2.66GHz. It will use DDR3 1066 MHz RAMs.
